SUNTORY blue rose APPLAUSE 1

Blue roses named “SUNTORY blue rose APPLAUSE” are shown at a press conference unveiling the flowers that Suntory Holdings said to be the world’s first roses with nearly 100 percent blue pigment in the petals in Tokyo, Japan, Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009. Suntory said it took 20 years to grow blue roses and they start to sell them in major cities in Japan on Nov. 3 at 2,000 yen to 3,000 yen ($22 to 33) each
