WOW! WHAT A MARVELOUS IDEA?? REALLY AMAZING.
absolutely gorgeous!
This is Just a waste of Milk and Coffee… I do not appreciate… Just one thing do not waste food like this….
Are you serious? Lighten up PHP.
they could have drank it afterwards.
You are Just a waste of Oxygen and Food. I do not appreciate… Just one thing do not have kids like this…
i wonder if it matter to them what kind of milk it was?
the artist is like WTF i wanted whole milk this shit is skim!
Pussy ^

Maybe they gave it away to the people afterwards. Free coffee is awesome. I think Stefan Sagmeister did this.
Spectacular !
PHP developer you are a miserable sod! i think it’s brilliant and certainly not a waste of talent and certainly not a waste of coffee and milk.
you might as well say michaelangelo wasted paint by doing up the cistine chapel’s ceiling!
what a waste of coffee… people have too much time on their hands…
This is a really nice idea. I love the way that the colour of the milk and coffee creates a sepia effect.
hahah respect the art and its amazing
Mona Lisa Latte! Its cool, but I have to agree with PHP Developer and a few others. There are millions of people starving in the world, and the “haves” having food like this while the “have nots” starve is not a good thing. It is never justifiable to waste food.
As for CD, paint is not made eat, but to paint. Food is not made to paint, but to eat. They serve 2 different roles altogether. There is no comparison to your argument. I agree though, it is good creativity but stupid marketing… Would I drink their coffee? No. Would I fly half the way around the world in search of their coffee? No. Will I remember their name? Maybe if I lived close by.
ok we’re done.
everyone please help urself here.
I agree with PHP, beautiful picture but gross waste of food.

Wow, that had to have taken so much time and patience. It turned out awesome
And I think people like you should shut your whore mouths. I get so sick and tired of people looking at creative and artistic pieces such as this and saying “omg wat a waste of tym and stuff”. I’d like to see all of you do something like this out of your pocket and have it come out halfway decent. Humans are wasteful little bastards anyway, so what is a few barrels of coffee?
Wow! That is really amazing. Must have taken lot of planning and hard work…and coffe
I will not shut my whore mouth, and you can’t make me!
…why are you taking these comments so personally, Itakru? People are expressing their opinions about this art installation. Did you make this art, and are offended that some people don’t like it? Or have you just not had your coffee this morning?
Wow!! love it
Wow this is awesome but I dont really see how its a waste of food..its not food. its drink. theres a huge difference.
it would have been creative IF they had chosen a new image or simply made a new one instead of just doing the Monalisa. I have seen that image made by clothes, sticks, chips, and oh mugs. :s
Interesting, But an extreme waste of coffee and cups.
Itakru owns a coffee shop – that’s why he takes it personal.
Shannon – you are sooo right – people need food but milk – who needs that!!!!
There is nothing creative about having a computer program generate the order of the cups.
lol, How much you wanna bet PHP is overweight? I lol at people who can’t throw food out!. It’s just coffee, drink some milk and lighten up!
wasteful australians
WOW really nicely done cudos to the artist for the bunch of U complaining about what a waste it was what did he waste that could save the world from starvation a a couple of cans of coffee and a few pints of milk its mostly water if U didn’t know how coffee was made.
Mona Lisa Latte! Its cool, but I have to agree with PHP Developer and a few others. There are millions of people starving in the world, and the “haves” having food like this while the “have nots” starve is not a good thing. It is never justifiable to waste food.
I hate to burst your bubble, but coffee has no nutritional value. To give all this to the starving would only make the starving hyper.
Thats just fantastic
from a pastry chefs POV its beautiful and not a waste at all. no one complains when the chocolate design on their dessert plate looks fab but for some reason when its a large scale project like this its automatically a waste. yes there are people starving in other places but this is still art. im sure this coffee went to good use after. and if you still feel that way, dont b*tch when you order your next cappuccino and the foam isnt to your liking and want it redone.
An awesome way to modernize a classic painting. There’s always going to be some critic who doesn’t agree with a medium… and where there is a critic with a voice, sheep will follow. Just appreciate the talent it took to orchestrate such an elaborate idea. Look at the different shades created by just adding milk to coffee! Very wonderful.
Shopped
It’s like a giant paint by numbers but w/ coffee. Good Job? You put some cups in a grid!
It would only really be a waste of coffee if some people didn’t get their beverage for the day because of this piece of art, or if the coffee was given to the artists for free, but since I’m sure they paid for the coffee, wherever they got it, and I would hope no caffeine freaks missed their fix because of this project, I’m just fine with it, and think it’s actually kind of beautiful.
It needn’t be a waste of coffee. When you’re done being arty just stick a stirrer in each of the cups, bung them all in the freezer and voila, coffee lollipops!
Cool!
was going to ask if aussies did the iced coffee, in which case its all gravy baby. also, what food group does coffee fall under.
great job on the lady.
germans are soooo clever
Great work! I don’t think it’s a waste of coffee though…I work in a coffee shop and we probably dump almost that much coffee a day between us making the order wrong, customers saying it’s bitter/not made right, and the coffee not being used within 20 minutes. At least this went to something interesting and not down a sink
Do you people REALLY believe that somebody starved to death (or could have) because of this work? …No? …so your point is what exactly then?

Beautiful and creative. With simple coffee and milk, you can create a masterpiece. Bet after this, they can create any face they want.

It’s beautiful ART! Like any of you don’t waste food…
Excellent work. It’s not a waste of coffee or milk. And Monalisa was the right choice since everybody knows it.
Hope they recycle the paper cups!
I’m sure much vaster quantities are wasted daily by non-artists.
I find it horribly ironic that a bunch of people are sitting around bitching about wasted coffee, via computers that they probably sit in front of for hours on end, wasting both time and electricity, contributing to CO2 emissions (I include myself).
Why are we bitching about coffee when we could be away from the computer, doing something with our creativity and knowledge to improve the world?
It’s really amazing and informative post. It’s very useful for every people so i am thankful to you for sharing such a helpful knowledge with us.
Awesomeness !
Its really amazing. creating pics by “milk with coffee” is a great art which is looking in this photo.
